![]() ![]() The Juno-60 has the Jupiter 8 filter - different from the Jupiter 6's sound. I wouldn't say that the two synths are directly comparable, but if you are going to compare them, the Jupiter wins hands down, takes the trophy, and goes home with the prom queen. ![]() ![]() I honestly wouldn't worry about gigging with the JP6 under ordinary conditions barring freak accidents the thing is built like a tank and ought to be able to survive any normal road wear. Also has keyboard splits with bi-timbral "patch preset" mode, which is great for live performance. (I'm biased, but still) - multiple waveforms available simultaniously from each oscillator, osc's are syncable to each other, it has a good arpeggiator, killer multimode filter, has 2 modes of polyphony, a dedicated mono mode for leads, and the awesome power of 12-oscillator Unison mode (with detune). The Jupiter-6, on the other hand, is a godlike hall-of-fame classic. Not an extensive synth in terms of modulation options and audio trickery, but very solid, warm and good. Very warm and creamy, with huge drippy gobs of bass (sub-oscillator!) and good pad/lead ability. ![]()
